If you’re throwing a party soon and would like to add something fun and creative, yet save some money along the way, then this is just right for you! You’ll be surprised that you can make something really amazing with spending less. Yes, we have a fun and unique idea of a photo booth frame that you and guests would definitely love. By making an oversized Polaroid photo booth frame, you get the cute look of a Polaroid without being limited to a wallet-sized photo. Plus, it takes your backdrop up a notch without the use of oversized sunglasses or neon jester hat.
Now, let’s get started.
Things you need:
- asheet of white foam coreboard
- pen or pencil
- printed text/shapes
- mod podge
- foam brush
How to do it:
- Using a ruler and exacto blade, cut out a rectangle inside to simulate the shape of a Polaroid photo (the 3 sides have the same measurement and the bottom border to be quite wider).
Tip: During measurement, mark out the lines on the “ugly” side of the board (with the labels and such on it).
- Then, cut out the words that you had printed and position them.
- Next, use mod podge on the front and back of the paper to glue it down. You may add graphics or party details to the bottom for added personalization.
Tip 1: Make sure to double-check every detail you put on the bottom of the frame. Check if you have printed the correct date and spelling of the names.
Tip 2: Additional graphics and design must go with your party theme.
For this photo booth set up you can hire a photographer, let guests snap their own photos or take the photos yourself with a point and shoot camera in natural lighting. In addition, you may hang it in the reception hall or simply put handles on the back using wide ribbon.
Was it not easy and fun? Wait ‘till your guests see and love it, too!
